Equipment and software

Adorama Camera - I have used it to buy a lot of the equipment (not lenses or camera bodies) lighting, backdrops etc which are too expensive in Japan. Great generally.

Adobe software - Free trials are a dream, have to make an account but worth it totally.

Nik software - Useful for doing those things that make photo pop. I especially like the Silver Efex module for b&w work.

Portrait Professional - Shortcuts what used to be hours with Lightroom 3 into about 5 - 10 minutes. The trial gets you hooked. I have a hard time drawing the line though. How far is to far to push with retouching?
